Excerpt from Detriot Free Press: June 8th, 2010 Ford said today it is adding a Google Maps function to its Sync in-car communications technology. Ford said the function will allow drivers to send maps and directions from a computer or a smart phone to their vehicle and will be available by July 1 on all 2010 and 2011 models equipped with Sync. “With send to Sync, you can map a destination at home, at work – wherever you have connectivity – and when you get to your car, it already knows where you want to go,” said Doug VanDagens, Ford’s director of connected services solutions. Ford previously announced the same feature for MapQuest, which will ...
Hello Christian,
I want to thank you for the service you provided to my wife and I during the purchase of our 2011 CR-V. You completely dispelled the aura of the stereotypical “hard sell car salesman”. You were very professional, courteous, friendly, and informative. Purchasing a new vehicle can be a traumatic experience for the decision making and financial commitment. Your patience and likeable personality made the experience satisfying and, even, fun!
On a broader note we have been purchasing vehicles, 9 total, from Crown Motors since 1985. We return to Crown Motors because of good treatment as a customer and good service for our vehicles. I am not partial to any particular brand all though Honda, 3 Hondas, have been our last 3 purchases. The remainder of the 9 were 5 Dodges, and a Ford Ranger. There have been issues and Crown Motors personal have always resolved them to our satisfaction.
Please pass this on to the management.
Sincerely,
John T. and Marcella M. Gordon

My wife and I had the best ever auto purchase. We have purchased autos from almost every dealer in town including Crown. This was the second purchase from Crown and as far as we are concerned we will always purchase from Christian, the salesman that sold us our new Dodge PU. He was honest, quick and said it like it was and is. He was friendly and cut the deal we were looking for and within our budget. We started with a quote on the Internet then upon our visit to look at the truck and meet Christian, we changed our mind and purchased a new truck. Christian made the quick transition from a used car and at our request to look at a new one. I think he was surprised at out change of mind to go to new rather than a very nice pre-owned Dodge truck. We were there less than 4 hours from start to finish including a great orientation on the new truck. I would highly recommend Christian as a salesman; he is unique compared to other salesmen we’ve worked with in the past. Crown is truly the “Home of the Right Price!”

December marks the one year birthday of the all electric Nissan LEAF. It is hard to imagine that just a year ago there wasn’t an all electric vehicle offered by a major auto manufacturer.

Here is a quick excerpt from the article.
The first and only mass-produced electric vehicle, the Nissan LEAF, is officially one year old. So far, the completely zero emissions car has found more than 19,000 homes globally since its first sale on December 11, 2010. As its market share expands each and every day, the LEAF has racked up approximately 35 million miles driven around the world. Most recently, Guangzhou China received a set of fleet LEAFs via a joint venture between Nissan and Dongfeng Motor Co. It appears that Nissan’s EV expansion isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Here is a quick excerpt from the article.
On the tech front, the Fit EV’s 20-kW-hr lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack delivers a claimed 123-mile driving range on the EPA city cycle (Honda anticipates a 76-mile combined EPA range rating) and recharges in just 3 hours on 240-volt power using the 6.6-kW 32-amp onboard charger (15 hours on 120 volts). Energy consumption is a claimed 116 mpg-e combined, or 29 kW-hr/100 miles, besting the Nissan Leaf’s by 17 mpg-e or 5 kW-hr/100 miles, and a sophisticated brake-by-wire system maximizes potential regenerative braking while improving pedal feel.
On paper, the Fit EV adheres to the time-honored musclecar formula of putting the engine from a big sedan in a compact. Its front-mounted AC synchronous, permanent magnet coaxial traction motor and low-friction reduction gearbox are borrowed from the much larger FCX Clarity fuel-cell sedan producing 123-hp and 189 lb-ft. To deliver on that muscle promise, a three-mode electric drive system, adapted from the CR-Z Sport Hybrid, offers Econ, Normal, and Sport modes. Econ mode is said to extend realistic driving range by as much as 17 percent compared to driving in Normal mode. Select Sport, and the gauge surrounds turn red to warn of tire-shredding accelerative potential. Throttle response is about all there is to alter when switching modes in a 1-speed EV (there are no adaptive suspension elements), and Sport mode’s map is super aggressive, delivering lusty wheelspin from rest and ample pressure on one’s backside when accelerating to pass with a sudden stab at the pedal. By comparison, Normal and Econ seem to install rubber bands of different strengths between the pedal and its actuator.
